CASA Kane County to host annual ball
CASA Kane County will host its annual "Children's Champion Celebration" Saturday, March 5, at the Q Center in St. Charles. The theme is "Venetian Masquerade Ball."
Enjoy an evening of dinner and dancing with the featured band SODA. Attendees also can bid on auction items such as private, upscale dining experiences, destination vacation packages, Chicago sporting team tickets, VIP theater packages with luxury transportation and more.
Last year's event entertained nearly 750 guests, and CASA Kane County hopes to exceed that number this year.
CASA Kane County recognizes Ron and Elena Onesti of the Arcada Theatre as this year's honorary chairpersons. The Onestis played a pivotal role in CASA Kane County's Benefit Concert in 2015, which supported CASA's endowment fund.
Ron Onesti continues to support the Children's Champion Celebration as emcee of this year's event.
The Children's Champion award recipients will be Tim and Marcia Kellenberger of Kellenberger Electric. Kellenberger Electric was one of the main contractors that supported the build out office expansion project for CASA in the historic Kane County courthouse. Marcia is an active CASA volunteer.
Some of the 10 live auction items are: an all-inclusive trip to New York City to meet Donnie Walhberg on the set of CBS show "The Blue Bloods;" a four-person VIP Chicago Blackhawks package and tour, including dinner at the Ketel One Club; a getaway weekend package; and a seven-course meal for 10 with wine pairings, decor and entertainment in your own home.
Winners of the grand raffle need not be present to win. Tickets for the grand prize raffle are $20 or seven for $100. Prizes include: two tickets to the Chicago Symphony, a University Club of Chicago overnight, and a $200 RPM Steakhouse certificate, value $1,000; shop-and-dine certificates in the Tri-Cities, value $1,000; Oakbrook Center shopping spree, value $1,500; fresh floral arrangement of seasonal flowers delivered monthly for a year, must be delivered to same address and within an 8-mile radius from downtown Geneva, value $1,800; and Baume & Mercier silver rectangular woman's watch, value $2,100.
