An 87-year-old motorcyclist is in serious condition after crashing Sunday afternoon on the Route 31 Bypass.
The Geneva man was driving north on the bypass approaching Route 62 when the 2007 Harley Davidson hit the center median, causing him to lose control, police said.
The bike went over the median into the southbound lanes and ended up off the road in an embankment.
The man, who was not identified, is in serious condition at a nearby hospital, police said.
Northbound and southbound lanes on Route 31 were shut down for a period as police carried out an investigation.
