Public access to Lake County Administration Building to be limited

Lake County government offices are transitioning to provide only essential functions over the next few days.

Starting Thursday, public access to the County Administration building, located at 18 N. County St. in Waukegan, will be closed except for limited operations within the 19th Judicial Circuit Court.

The Libertyville campus buildings, including the Central Permit Facility, the Division of Transportation, and Public Works, will continue to limit in-person interactions between staff and the public. Drop boxes, drop off locations and e-services will be made available at each facility to accommodate services, which include permitting, bill payment, water sample drop-offs, and more.

Lake County public safety and utilities will continue operations as normal.
