Holiday recycling event Sunday in Libertyville

A holiday recycling event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Crawford Warming House, 817 W. Lake St., Libertyville.

Holiday light strings will be accepted. Wreaths, garlands or other decorations will not be accepted.

Up to four banker's boxes of documents (no businesses or business documents) will be accepted for shredding.

Drop-offs of gently used leashes and collars for local animal shelters and new or gently used coats, hats and gloves will be donated locally.

Light refreshments will be served and a coloring activity for kids to take home will be held. State, county and local elected officials will be on hand to meet and greet.
