North Maine fire district to host open house Saturday

The North Maine Fire Protection District will host its annual open house Saturday, featuring a side-by-side burn demonstration that will show the value of residential fire sprinklers.

The demonstration will be at 1:30 p.m., though the fire station open house is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. An auto extrication demonstration will be at noon, and a number of community organizations will have information display tables.

The fire station is located at 9301 Potter Road in unincorporated Maine Township. Parking will be across the street at Chicago Mar Thoma Church.
