Overdose awareness and memorial event Wednesday in Elgin

The Ecker Center for Behavioral Health will hold its annual Overdose Awareness and Memorial Event Wednesday in Elgin.

The event is open to anyone in the community to remember loved ones who died from an overdose. There will be stories of hope and healing, a candlelight vigil and free Narcan training.

The memorial starts at 7 p.m. on the Serenity Path at the Ecker Center's Renz office, 2 American Way.
