Dundee library to host 'How to run for trustee' workshop Sept. 18

A workshop on how to run for library trustee will be presented at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Dundee Library, 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee.

Fall is the season for deciding whether to throw your hat in the ring to run for office as petitions must be filed in December.

Four seats on the Fox River Valley Public Library District board of trustees will be filled by voters in the consolidated election on April 2, 2019.

Trustees serve in a voluntary capacity for four-year terms. The public library is an important community institution that makes a difference in the lives of its residents. The workshop will review the process for circulating and filing nomination petitions for the office of library trustee.

Informational packets will be provided, so registration is required.

Register online at www.frvpld.info, call (847) 428-3661, press 3, or in person.
