Carol Stream shopping center sells for $1.8 million

CAROL STREAM - SVN | Chicago Commercial recently sold a 16,299 SF retail shopping center at 257-81 Elk Trail Road in Carol Stream for $1.8 million.

Tim Franz of SVN | Chicago Commercial represented the seller in the transaction. The buyer's name was not disclosed.

"Elk Trail is a true multi-tenant neighbor center with a service oriented tenant mix, which makes it successful within a dense residential area. This type of asset has become more attractive to out of state buyers. We were able to locate an out-of-state trade buyer to maximize pricing for the seller. DuPage County real estate continues to remain in demand due to its tax benefits versus alternative counties in Chicagoland," Franz said.
