Geneva plans free Christmas tree collection
Geneva residents will have two chances to dispose of their live Christmas trees during January.
Trees will be picked up for free on residents' regular garbage collection days the weeks of Jan. 3 and Jan. 10. People must place the trees out with their garbage no later than 7 a.m. on their scheduled day.
Remove all ornaments, hooks, nails, tinsel, garland, lights, wires and tree stands. Trees placed in bags will not be accepted.
Wreaths and roping should be thrown away in the regular trash.
