Baseball: Grant bows out in sectional final

Huntley 5, Grant 4: At Huntley, the sixth-seeded Bulldogs scored 2 runs in the seventh but saw their rally for short in the Class 4A sectional final.

Grant, which won four games in the state tournament, finished 26-14.

Ben Kusiak had a 2-run single in the seventh for Grant, which stranded the tying run at third base.

No. 3 Huntley advanced to the Schaumburg (Boomers Stadium) supersectional to face Mundelein on Monday night.
