Morrison hosting baby supply drive for local nonprofit

State Rep. Tom Morrison will be hosting his second annual Holiday Baby Supply Drive to benefit Hopeful Beginnings in Palatine.

The organization works to support women in need throughout their pregnancies by providing counseling and education services as well as needed baby items. Donations collected through Rep. Morrison's drive will be given to their Baby Closet, which compiles most needed newborn items.

The organization's Baby Closet is in need of the following items: size 12 months and size 3 boys and girls winter clothing, clothing size 18 months-5T, bath towels and wash clothes, bibs, Enfamil formula, baby shampoo, baby lotion, diaper cream, pacifiers for ages 3 months and younger, Onesies, size newborn diapers only, baby proofing items, simple puzzles or games for children younger than 3 years, and forehead or ear thermometers.

Donations can be dropped off at Rep. Morrison's district office in Palatine, 117 E. Palatine Road, Suite 106, during office hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Thursday, Dec. 9.

"This is the second annual collection drive I have facilitated in our community and it's amazing to see residents come together to help expectant mothers in need," said Rep. Morrison. "I am happy to host this event again to provide necessary items that can really make a difference for a new mom and baby."
