St. Charles East 3, Benet 2: In nonconference action at Benedictine University, junior forward Chantel Carranza's second half penalty kick was the difference for the Saints (1-0), who also saw Megan O'Neal and Rose Stackhouse add goals.
Geneva 8, East Aurora 0: Sophomore Stephanie Howe notched 2 goals and 2 assists in a dominant first showing for the Vikings (1-0). Sydney Gratz (1 assist) and freshman Alicia White also had 2 goals each. Lauren Albrecht and Maddy Rapach-Lagowski each had 1 goal and 1 assist while Jenna Dominguez and Caitlin Farrell had assists.
Kaneland 10, IMSA 0: The Knights (1-0) reached double digits in nonconference action to start 2017. Abbie Lomahan, Holly Collingbourne and Becca Geringer all chipped in 1 goal and 1 assist while Taylor Zitkus totaled 2 goals. Lindsay Penkala, Gabrielle Faletto, Kylie Kurz, Ashley Painer and Vanessa Theopold all scored goals while Rachael Lutter tallied 3 assists and Sophie Ottoson had 2. Willow Dunne and Meg Andrews also had assists.
