NE Indiana branding effort aims to attract young workers
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Northeastern Indiana business and civic leaders are hoping a new branding effort can help lure more young workers to the region.
The "Make It Your Own" marketing effort unveiled Thursday by the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership aims to attract people ages 21 to 45 to the 11-county region.
The Journal Gazette reports that the partnership worked with national and local marketing agencies to produce the tagline and a "brand strategy."
The region's businesses can use the "Make It Your Own" logo and marketing materials in their efforts to sell prospective residents and workers on northeastern Indiana.
Partnership official Michael Galbraith says that on average the 11-county region has more than 6,000 unfilled jobs. He says that boosting the region's "talent pool" is its top business need.
