Depomed and CoconoPhillips rise while Gap plunges

NEW YORK (AP) - Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Friday on the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq stock market:

Gap Inc., down $3.83 to $23.85

The retailer said sales at all its big chains, Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic, dropped in March.

ConocoPhillips, up 92 cents to $41.23

Energy stocks got a boost as the price of oil climbed for the second time in three days.

Ruby Tuesday Inc., down 62 cents to $4.60

The restaurant chain reported disappointing quarterly results and cut its forecasts for the year.

L Brands Inc., down $3.65 to $80.50

The retailer said it will restructure its Victoria's Secret brand.

Nasdaq

Depomed Inc., up $1.95 to $16.95

Activist investment firm Starboard Value disclosed a 9.8 percent stake in the pain drug company.

Alliance Fiber Optic Products Inc., up $2.99 to $18.45

The optical components maker agreed to be bought by specialty glass maker Corning for $305 million, or $18.50 per share.

Duluth Holdings Inc., up $3.91 to $21.73

Investors were pleased with the clothing and tools supplier's fiscal fourth-quarter results.

WD-40 Inc., down $4.89 to $102.15

The maintenance and cleaning products company slipped after its sales came up short of expectations.
