Lake Villa celebrates St. Patrick's Day with parade, luncheon

Lake Villa was colored green Saturday as the town celebrated St. Patrick's Day with its annual parade and corned beef and cabbage dinner.

Nearly 60 parade entries stepped off from Palombi Middle School and made their way through town to the Lake Villa VFW Post. Bagpipe bands marched through the streets and paradegoers filled the Rainbow Caboose with donations for the Lake Villa Township Food Pantry.

After the parade, a corned beef and cabbage dinne was served at the VFW and included entertainment.
