Girls track and field: MSL triangular wins for Palatine, Wheeling, Barrington
Girls track and field
at Palatine: The host Pirates got three individual wins from Corey Rinella and two more from Kelly O'Brien to finished with 105 points against Conant (64) and Rolling Meadows (12).
Rinella had the effort in the 100 dash (13.0), the 300 low hurdles (49.8) and the long jump (15-7½), while O'Brien won the 400 dash (1:04.0) and the 800 run (2:20.3).
Jess Streepy was also a double winner for Palatine, taking top honors in high jump (4-6) and pole vault (9-9).
Conant's Shelby Epich won both throws, winnning shot put with 34-10 and discus with 104-7.
at Wheeling: The host Wildcats were especially dominant in the field events, getting wins from Alexis Knight (pole vault 9-0, long jump 17-0), Timber Terrell (triple jump, 35-4), Michelle Vasey (shot put, 40-3.5) and Glorida Wide (discus, 113-0).
Wheeling finished with 99 points, with Hersey at 52 and Schaumburg at 30.
Knight also won the 200 (26.7), while Schaumburg's Maggy Centeno was tops in the 300 hurdle (49.6) and Hersey's Alanna Ratusz took the 800 (2:26.4).
at Barrington: The Fillies made a clean sweep of the relays on their way to 95 points to better Fremd (64) and Elk Grove (27).
Individual wins for Barrington included Sara Kate Capel in the 300 hurdles (48.3) and Kelsey McLaurin in the 100 dash (12.6).
Fremd had a double winner in Nora Finegan, tops in the 400 (59.3) and the 200 (26.3), and Elk Grove's Inga Augustaitis won shot put (33-7) and discus (106-2).
