Boys soccer: Talavera's goal lifts Grant

Danny Talavera broke a scoreless tie in the second half, and Grant's boys soccer team shut out host Antioch 1-0 in a Northern Lake County Conference finale on Thursday.

Sam Lee had the assist for Grant, which improved to 4-14 and finished 2-5 in the NLCC.

Antioch fell to 7-12-2 and also finished 2-5 in conference play.

"It is a frustrating result having created chance after chance, only to be undone late on a counter attack," Antioch assistant coach Matt Bohmann said.
