I currently am serving as a commissioner on the CDC in Bensenville.Elected offices held: Commissioner on the CDCQuestions Answers What makes you the best candidate for the job?I have lived in Bensenville for 25 years. As a member of the CDC, I am looking out for the economic development of Bensenville. I am well known for being involved in our youth sports programs and plan to work tirelessly for all citizens and businesses of Bensenville.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.While working on the CDC, I have seen where getting the proper business in town will help reduce taxes for all. I am looking to make sure that our taxes are fair for everyone in the community.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?Currently, I believe our fire and police departments are doing their job to the best of their ability for our village. I believe we need to look at how prepared they are for our future. The best way to do this is making sure there is clear communication with the community. I believe this is the best solution.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?I am not close enough to the budget of our city to know where it can be trimmed or where monies need to be added. I do know, however, that our seniors are under-served and we need to step up to the plate and address this issue. They have done much throughout their lives for us who are still here, so we need to make sure they are not forgotten.What is one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I would like to focus on both youth and senior programs. By doing this, I believe that it will continually bring the community together. Community togetherness is how you make your village strong both inside and out. In order to do this, we need to have more community events.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?I just want to make sure that we, as a team, are addressing the majority concerns and needs of both our citizens and businesses of our community.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Joel Osteen, Senior Pastor of Lakewood Church because he is very clear and spiritually motivating.What is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?At the end of the day, integrity is all that you have.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?I would have purchased a home in Bensenville earlier.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Accounting. I was able to grow in the accounting and financial services field as a direct result of this subject.If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Always be kind to your fellow man, even if it means you have to take the high road.
