Family-Focused Fitness, Living Your Best Life are Core Philosophies of New Palatine Business

Family fitness is the name of the game for the Ball family of Palatine. Husband and wife, Todd and Kasia Ball, have made a life and career out of physical fitness for themselves and their two children. Now, they are encouraging other area families to get fit and live their optimal life - through the Ball's new business, BALL4Training.

The couple recently opened the 7,000-square-foot fitness studio at 345 N. Eric Drive, Suite 500, just west of downtown Palatine. BALL4Training provides a number of classes and training opportunities for clients young and old, including (but not limited to) Boot Camp, Cardio Boxing and Youth Fitness programs.

Prior to opening the business, Todd built a career in the fitness industry, specializing in dancing and kids' fitness, as well as boxing boot camps, personal and group training. Kasia was a stay-at-home mom for the couple's children, and after becoming ill, learned first-hand how being active can impact and improve health. Now, she has a professional focus on athlete's nutrition and boot camps, and is a certified personal trainer.

"We founded this business because we believe families who get fit together build strong bonds," Todd said. "There are countless benefits to staying healthy and active that can benefit individuals for years to come - our goal is to make fitness fun and help other families to live their best possible life."

The couple's children have impressive athletic accomplishments of their own. Fourteen-year-old daughter Anya placed 3rd in the 2017 Junior Olympics High Jump competition, and Dominik, 11, placed 17th, also in the 2017 Junior Olympics in the 400-yard-dash, and 25th in the 100-yard-dash.

The family has a passion for giving back, and has regularly traveled to Kenya over the last several years with Dreamweavers, a nonprofit organization that provides education, healthcare and compassion for the most under-resourced people in the world. The Ball's recently decided to start a charity of their own, called Mama Na Baba, which means Mom and Dad in Swahili. This now-forming nonprofit will provide in-need children in Kenya with school supplies, clothing and medical care through ongoing fundraising efforts.

BALL4Training has two upcoming events that are open to the public: a Health/Fitness/Beauty Expo on Sunday, October 8, 2017, from noon until 4:00 p.m., and a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony/Open House on Monday, October 30, 2017, which will be attended by Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz. Both events will be held at the Ball4Training facility, and those who attend are invited to take a tour to learn more.
