Learn about the American kestrel at Lake County Audubon Society meeting Feb. 3
Understanding the decline of the American kestrel is the topic of the next Lake County Audubon Society meeting, taking place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at Libertyville village hall, 118 W. Cook Ave.
Wildlife biologist Chuck Rizzo will discuss the issues facing the birds in "Little Falcon, Big Problems." Rizzo has worked at the Cook County Forest Preserve District for 19 years, including on the urban coyote, urban deer and various turtle and snake programs, and for the past several years has focused on avian projects.
Children are welcome at the meeting with an adult. Doors will lock at 7:45 p.m.
