The Grammy-nominated, DuPage-born rock band Plain White T's debuts a new self-titled album in the Chicago area this weekend with a two-night Hometown Takeover. Friday night, the band headlines a sold-out show at Chicago's Subterranean; on Saturday, they head out to the suburbs to headline Durty Nellie's, joined by ONELIFE, The Dog and Everything and a special guest.

Glickstein tribute
Honor the life of late Chicago musician and The Flock founder, vocalist and guitarist Fred Glickstein as Hey Nonny hosts a tribute to the local jazz-rock hero. Along with radio personalities and friends sharing stories about his time on the scene, former collaborators and peers Dinosaur Exhibit, Scott May (of Ides of March), The Cave Dwellers, Joe Gagliardo and more will celebrate Glickstein's music legacy throughout the afternoon.

Kristin Rose Kelly
Emmy nominated singer-songwriter Kristin Rose Kelly previews songs from her upcoming rock-concept album "The Fight," along with special guest Eryn O'Ree, as the full Kristin Rose Kelly Band plays The Moonlight Theatre in St. Charles. Chicago comedian and Second City Players Workshop alum Matt Kissane opens the show, plus view a gallery of artwork by local artists.
