Girls soccer: St. Edward wins at Urbana tournament

Mariel Franco scored an unassisted goal in the first half to lead the St. Edward girls soccer team to a 1-0 win over Urbana Friday at the Urbana Invitational.

Anissa Gomez had 2 saves for the Green Wave (2-3), who advance to play Stevens Point (Wis.) on Saturday.

Nerinx Hall (Mo.) 1, Bartlett 0: Teagan Noesen made 9 saves in goal but the Hawks (5-3-1) couldn't find the back of the net in this loss at the St. Louis Soccer Classic.
