Man arrested in Joliet auto shop double homicide
JOLIET, Ill. (AP) - Will County authorities have arrested a suburban Chicago man in connection with a double homicide at a Joliet auto body shop.
State's Attorney James Glasgow announced that a warrant was secured Friday for the arrest of 41-year-old William N. Krasawski on two counts of first-degree murder.
Krasawski was taken into custody by Joliet police Thursday during their investigation into the deaths of 48-year-old Michael R. Oram of Joliet and 43-year-old Jamie L. Wills of Lockport. Authorities say the bodies had signs of injuries that were consistent with homicide.
Police began looking at Krasawski as a person of interest after learning he was at the auto shop and may have witnessed the slayings.
A first court appearance for Krasawski has yet to be scheduled. However, Judge Dave Carlson set bond on the arrest warrant at $5 million.
