Artisan market to collect donations for shelter

Donations to A Safe Place women's shelter in Lake County will be the admission for a holiday artisan market at Cacao Sweets and Treats in downtown Grayslake on Sunday, Dec. 18. Running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the bakery at 122 Center St., visitors to the market are asked to bring toiletries, baby items or gift cards to be given to A Safe Place. Guests will get to sip beer and coffee and nibble from a dessert bar while visiting with local artisans, including Only Child Brewing Company of Gurnee, Reprise Coffee Roasters of Lake Forest and American Botanics of Wheeling.
