North Aurora Days fun starts Friday

Enjoy a wood-fired custom-crafted pizza. Bounce around via a Eurobungy. (Or maybe, bounce first, pizza second.) Admire emergency vehicles. Run through the grounds of Mooseheart with bald eagles watching you at the start line.

North Aurora Days returns Friday through Sunday.

The main site is at Clocktower Plaza at Oak Street and Randall Road. That's where much of the food, amusements and entertainment happens.

Friday night is the emergency vehicle parade. It starts at 6:30 p.m. at Airport Road and Route 31, goes down John Street and Willow Way, and heads west on Oak Street.

There is the Run for the Riverfront Saturday to raise money for the North Aurora River District Alliance and the Aurora University cross-country running teams. Races start at 7:05 a.m. at the field house at Mooseheart on Mooseheart Road and Route 31. Sign up at runfortheriverfront.com.

Saturday night's big event is a fireworks show at 9:45 p.m. at Clock Tower Plaza.

Sunday features the annual pet parade. Judging starts at 10:30 a.m. at Route 31 and State Street, and the parade is at noon at Island Park.

It is followed by “Party in the Park” from 2 to 6 p.m. at Riverfront Park.
