WTTW to premiere new Chicago-based culinary series

Be sure to check out WTTW's new Chicago-based cooking show, "Dishalicious," debuting at 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 6, on Channel 11 and at wttw.com/dishalicious. The show also airs Fridays, April 13 and 20, on WTTW11 and wttw.com/dishalicious.

The show is a fast-paced, and freewheeling series where three-star chefs have fun cooking together. "This show is all about chefs cooking together and having a great time," said Executive Producer David Manilow. "Refreshingly, it's about collaboration, not competition."

Sarah Grueneberg, a James Beard Award winner, "Top Chef" competitor, and chef-owner of Chicago's Monteverde Restaurant & Pastificio, serves as host. She'll be joined by three notable local chefs who collaborate on a three-course meal in WTTW's Grainger Studio in front of a live audience.

Each episode features a different cuisine, with the emphasis on teaching audiences how to create these dishes at home. Starting off on April 6 will be "Italian The Chefs: with Tony Mantuano (Spiaggia, Bar Toma); Giuseppe Tentori (GT Fish & Oyster, GT Prime); and Leigh Omilinsky (Nico Osteria).

Visit wttw.com/dishalicious for recipes from each episode, plus an extra recipe from Grueneberg, along with video extras, streaming episodes, and other special content.
