Motorcyclist dies after crash in Downers Grove

A motorcyclist died Tuesday after a collision with a car in Downers Grove, police said in a news release.

The crash occurred at 1:39 p.m. at Main and 67th streets, according to police.

The motorcyclist was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where he died. His name will not be released until his family is notified, police said.

The news release said a preliminary investigation indicated the car was turning left onto 67th Street from northbound

Main Street when it was struck by the motorcycle, which was traveling south on Main Street.
