Taxes up, but school quality has dropped

As a Plainfield resident without children, I have seen my property taxes skyrocket in recent years. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying taxes; not only do they help children learn, a better school district increases the value of my house.

Unfortunately, the quality of the school district has gone down immensely and its ratings have plummeted. Along with the tax increase, this has significantly decreased the value of my home.
