Senior Madeline Bobinski will represent Maine West in the Class 3A girls track and field state meet after winning the discus in Thursday's Niles West sectional meet.

Bobinski threw the disc 118 feet, 5 inches, ahead of runner-up Annie Miller of Highland Park by nearly 6 feet.

New Trier rolled to the team title with 128 points, ahead of runner-up Loyola Academy (77.5) and third-place Lake Forest (53).
