Healing Gardens host 'Silent Saturday Morning' Dec. 1
Healing Gardens, a two-acre expanse of woodland and perennial gardens at Stone Hill Farm off Dean Street in St. Charles, will host a "Silent Saturday Morning" from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 1. Give yourself time to reflect and focus on the gifts of the winter season!
The morning will consist of two, 20-minute meditation periods; a guided meditation walk in nature; silent reflection time; a time to journal and optional sharing. Deborah Marqui, a licensed clinical social worker and owner of Healing Gardens at Stone Hill Farm, will facilitate the morning. A two-time cancer survivor Deborah attributes her healing to the restorative power of nature and desires to offer a place for others to renew their spirits in the silence of nature.
Gardens: Healing Gardens at Stone Hill Farm is two acres of perennial gardens in a beautiful wooded setting in St. Charles. The gardens are open to the public on the second Sunday of each month from April through October. The admission fee is $5 per person and $10 per family. Call for discounted group rates. Cancer survivors are free, although donations of time or money for upkeep are appreciated.
