St. Charles set to begin street rehab project

The City of St. Charles has contracted with Geneva Construction for the 2017 Street Rehabilitation Project, which will include resurfacing of approximately two miles of the city's roadway network. Work is anticipated to start in early June, with all roadway work scheduled to be completed in mid-August and restoration to take place in September.

For residents on streets scheduled to be resurfaced, keep an eye out for a letter from Public Works with additional information. If you receive an orange parking pass, work is anticipated to impact access to your driveway.

"The City of St. Charles Public Works Department maintains over 135 miles of roadways each year through a variety of maintenance strategies such as resurfacing, pavement patching, rejuvenation and reconstruction," said Karen Young, assistant director of public works.
