Fremont Library to Host Kindergarten Readiness Program

Preparing a child for kindergarten can be a daunting task for parents. To help facilitate the process, Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Rd., will be holding a Kindergarten Readiness program on Wednesday, March 9th, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Representatives from school districts 75, 76, 79, Prairie Crossing Charter School, and St. Mary of the Annunciation will be on hand to answer questions parents may have about preparing their child for kindergarten. Even if your child is still a year or two away from kindergarten, this is the perfect opportunity to get a brief introduction to the process and meet educators from your district.

Light refreshments will be served. Children are welcome to attend. Quiet activities will be provided while parents meet in smaller groups with representatives from their district or anticipated school.

Space is limited and registration is required for this free program. For more information or to register contact the Youth Services Department at 847-918-3218. Fremont Public Library is located at 1170 N. Midlothian Rd., Mundelein, IL. You can also register online via the library's website, www.fremontlibrary.org.
