Buffalo Grove police search for man who exposed himself to teens
Buffalo Grove police are searching for a man who exposed himself to teenage girls on at least two occasions over the past several weeks.
In both instances, the victims described the offender as a white male, approximately 30 years old, with brown hair and glasses, Buffalo Grove police officer Meghan Hansen said.
The first case occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. Oct. 5, near the intersection of Arlington Heights and Lake-Cook roads. Two 13-year-old girls were walking along Arlington Heights Road when the driver of a green Infiniti sedan tried to get their attention.
At first the male driver appeared to be simply shirtless, but he raised himself up in the car to show that he was naked below the waist as well, Hansen said.
The second case occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Nov. 1, near the same intersection. This time two teenage girls were in a vehicle when a man driving a silver sedan pulled alongside them and exposed himself in a similar way.
Despite the difference in the color descriptions of the vehicles, police have noted more similarities than differences in the two cases, Hansen said.
Buffalo Grove police have reached out to surrounding police departments to try to find out if any similar reports have occurred elsewhere but have so far not heard of any, she said.
