Back to School Fun at The Willows Academy in Des Plaines

The Willows Academy celebrated their return to school with a Fall Field Day this past Friday, August 26 hosted by the incoming senior class. Approximately 200 girls, grades 6 through high school, and the faculty participated in this annual event.

"The mission of Field Day at The Willows is to provide an opportunity for the school community to interact outside of the classroom, building class unity and showcasing the leadership of the senior class," said Jeanne Petros, Executive Director for The Willows Academy.

The morning was filled with many fun games including dodge ball - seniors against faculty! All the activities were organized by the seniors and were aimed at building camaraderie among faculty and the entire student body. This atmosphere of fun and friendly competition set the tone for a successful year of learning, building new friendships, and strengthening existing ones. The morning was followed by a picnic lunch on the school lawn.
