2 arrested for sex trafficking on minor in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - Police have arrested two men for sexual trafficking of a minor in Lafayette.

Lafayette police say they arrested 33-year-old Cornelius Maurice Thompson of Chicago and 30-year-old Elyvin Cortez Jackson of Conway, Arkansas, on Monday night in the city.

The arrests came two days after Lafayette police were called to a disturbance and believe they found a victim of human-trafficking. The age of the victim hasn't been released.

Thompson and Jackson have been lodged in the Tippecanoe County Jail in Lafayette.

It wasn't clear whether either man has an attorney who might comment on his case
