An Arlington Heights letter to the editor: Lawsuits don't help; let's learn to compromise
I was sad to hear about the lawsuit put forth by some school districts had the judge ruling that kids don't have to wear masks in the classroom. I'm sadder to find out there are parents offering help to parents in other school districts to file more lawsuits.
These parents are saying they don't like having my will thrust upon them forcing their kids to wear masks. So what are they doing? They file lawsuits and thrust their will upon my kids to not wear masks.
If my kid brings home from school the COVID virus and gets any member of my family ill and someone dies, who is going to be held accountable for this? COVID is not like the flu. There are many more side effects with COVID. Comparing COVID to the flu is not comparing apples to apples.
By the way, who is going to take care of the 100,000 children who have become orphaned because of this virus? Who should be held accountable for this?
Why don't we stop with the lawsuits and come up with some compromises? It would be great if we could be civil once again.
