Softball: Huntley, Burlington Central roll to wins

Autumn Kasal had 3 hits with a double and 2 RBI while Marley Reicher added 2 hits and 3 RBI Thursday to lead the Huntley softball team to a 14-4 nonconference win over DeKalb.

Winning pitcher Tiffany Giese (2 hits, 2B), Paige Berkmeyer (2 hits), Teagan O'Rilley (2 hits, 2B, 4 RBI) and Grace Kutz (2 hits, RBI) also contributed for the Red Raiders (6-0).

Burlington Central 14, Rockford Auburn 0: Julia Barnes tossed a 3-hitter with 8 strikeouts and no walks for the Rockets (4-2). Leading the offense were Maissie Rabe (2 hits, 2B, RBI), Danielle Yurgil (3 hits, 2 doubles, RBI), Abby Sanders (3 hits, 2B, 2 RBI), Lindsay Jamrozek (3 hits, 2 doubles, 4 RBI), Alisyn Catenacci (2B, RBI) and Reili Gardner (2 hits, 2B, 3 RBI).
