Letter: Don't ignore economic impact of Bears move

The Bears want to move. Arlington Heights does not want to help them out with money. I understand that completely.

I just read Jim O'Donnell's article on Money Bears. What he does not provide is the economic impact this will have on Arlington Heights and surrounding suburbs if the move goes through.

This will include sales tax, event tax, real state tax, and I am sure I am missing other taxes not to mention Super Bowls, Final Fours, and there may be other bowl games of some sort.

I miss the track. We went all the time with friends and family. It's time to start new traditions.

I'm hoping they have housing in the new development. My plan is to move there.

I'm hoping taxes aren't too bad with all the cash Arlington Heights is going to have.
