Letter; PACs hurt local elections

I am disturbed by the appearance of local candidates being supported by Super PACs, in particular Suburban Action PAC.

Why is this organization getting involved in local elections? What is its purpose? Local elections are usually free of outside influence and determined by local supporters and not by outside interference. In reviewing the State Board of Elections filing for Action PAC, I found a $10,000 contribution from a large entertainment company, among others.

Keep local elections local.
