MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Rachel Banham scored 35 points in her final game at Williams Arena and Carlie Wagner scored with 0.8 seconds left in overtime to lift Minnesota to a 90-88 victory over No. 5 Ohio State on Wednesday night.

Wagner scored 26 points, the last on a pullup from the baseline after Banham had fouled out, and the Golden Gophers (19-9, 11-6 Big Ten) picked up a much-needed signature win to strengthen their case for an NCAA tournament bid.

Minnesota thought it had the game won when Jessie Edwards scored on a put-back with 0.5 seconds left in regulation, but Alexa Hart scored on a backdoor lob to force overtime for Ohio State (23-5, 10-7).

Shayla Cooper had 25 points and 11 rebounds and Hart finished with 14 points and 17 boards for the Buckeyes. Kelsey Mitchell scored 21 points on 6-for-24 shooting, but she couldn't get a shot off on the last possession and Ohio State lost for the first time in 12 games.

NO. 1 UCONN 88, SMU 41

STORRS, Conn. (AP) - Freshman Katie Lou Samuelson matched her season-high with 21 points to lead UConn to a rout of SMU that secured the Huskies' third consecutive American Athletic Conference regular-season championship.

Samuelson, who scored 19 in the Huskies win over East Carolina last Saturday, hit eight of her 13 shots and was 5 of 10 from 3-point range.

Breanna Stewart added 14 points and UConn (27-0, 16-0 American Athletic) extended the third longest winning streak in NCAA and team history to 64 games.

McKenzie Adams and Gabrielle Wilkins each had 10 points to lead SMU (12-15, 7-9).

NO. 8 TEXAS 76, TEXAS TECH 55

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Kelsey Lang scored 12 points, including eight on a crucial second-quarter run, and Texas won its 25th game this season.

The Longhorns (25-2, 14-2 Big 12) scored the first seven points and looked to be in control early against a struggling Texas Tech squad.

The Lady Raiders (11-16, 2-14) then went on a 16-2 run over three minutes to take a 16-9 lead with 4:19 to play in the first quarter. Then the Longhorns came charging back.

Japreece Dean scored 17 points for Texas Tech.

NO. 20 MICHIGAN STATE 71, ILLINOIS 43

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) - Aerial Powers had 26 points and 10 rebounds, Tori Jankoska recorded her fifth double-double of the season and Michigan State outscored Illinois 27-2 in the fourth quarter for the victory.

Powers became MSU's all-time leader in double-doubles with 44.

She had 15 points and seven boards in the third quarter alone as Michigan State (21-7, 12-5 Big Ten) held a 44-41 lead.

She finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Simmons led Illinois (9-19, 2-15) with 19 points and four 3-pointers.

NO. 21 SOUTH FLORIDA 72, TULSA 66

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Courtney Williams scored 33, and Laura Ferreira added 18 points to help South Florida beat Tulsa to secure a first-round bye in the American Athletic Conference tournament.

Maria Jespersen had a career-high 13 rebounds and Alisia Jenkins grabbed nine boards for South Florida.

A jumper by Williams sparked a 10-0 run that gave South Florida (20-7, 13-3 American Athletic Conference) a 45-36 lead with 4:59 left in the third quarter.

Clark led Tulsa (10-18, 7-10) with 26 points and nine rebounds.

NO. 22 OKLAHOMA STATE 71, KANSAS 49

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Brittney Martin had 24 points on 12-of-16 shooting with seven rebounds, four assists and three steals to help Oklahoma State beat Kansas.

The Cowgirls (20-7, 10-6 Big 12) led the entire way.

Kaylee Jensen added 18 points and 12 rebounds and Sydney Walton was 3 of 5 from 3-point range with 11 points for Oklahoma State.

Lauren Aldridge had 13 points for the Jayhawks (5-22, 0-16), who have lost 18 straight.

NO. 25 COLORADO STATE 49, NEW MEXICO 48

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Keyora Wharry had 15 points and Colorado State held on to win its 22nd straight.

Cherise Beynon had a 3-pointer and layup that capped a 12-2 rally by the Lobos and pulled them within one with 49 seconds left. Both teams went scoreless from there. Beynon finished with 23 points and Shumpert 13.

Alana Arias gave the Rams (25-1, 15-0 Mountain West) the lead for good at 30-29 and her basket sparked a 17-4 run.

New Mexico (14-12, 7-8) controlled the first half, leading by as many as eight in the second quarter.
