Carpentersville

• Ivan Leyva, 22, of West Dundee, was charged Dec. 24 with retail theft, Carpentersville records show. He is accused of stealing cologne and moisturizer, valued at $88, from Kohl's in Spring Hill Mall.

• Marco A. Torres, 36, of Carpentersville, was charged Dec. 24 with retail theft, police said. He is accused of switching price tags and underpaying for $104 worth of merchandise at Walmart on Lake Marian Road.

• Curtis C. Day, 55, of Carpentersville, was charged Dec. 23 with retail theft, police said. He is accused of stealing $39 worth of merchandise from Walmart.

• A resident on the 1200 block of Navajo Drive reported Dec. 22 that someone broke his windshield with a landscaping brick, which was found inside the car.

• Roberto C. Castaneda, 25, of Woodstock, was charged Dec. 21 with possession of cannabis, Carpentersville police said. Officers said they found him with 2.3 grams of a substance containing marijuana in a vehicle in the Liberty Lanes Bowling Alley parking lot, 115 L.W. Besinger Drive.
