Waukegan man dies after crashing car into light pole near Six Flags

A 63-year-old Waukegan man suffered fatal injuries when his car crashed into a light pole in Gurnee.

Alfonso Dockery Jr. died at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

Gurnee police responded about 2:20 a.m. Friday to the single-vehicle crash near Grand Avenue and Six Flags Parkway.

Preliminary autopsy results indicated Dockery died from blunt-force injuries, the Lake County coroner's office said.

The crash remains under investigation
