Rankings in J.D. Power's auto dependability study

The consulting company J.D. Power released its 2016 auto dependability study Wednesday. The study measures problems per 100 vehicles based on responses from 33,560 original owners of 2013 model-year vehicles. The industry average is 152 problems per 100 vehicles.

Here are the rankings, the problems per 100 vehicles and the number of places each brand rose or fell from the 2015 study.

1. Lexus, 95 (0)

2. Porsche, 97 (+4)

3. Buick, 106 (-1)

4. Toyota, 113 (-1)

5. GMC, 120 (+6)

6. Chevrolet, 125 (+4)

7. Honda, 126 (-2)

8. (tie) Acura, 129 (+4); Ram, 129 (+6)

9. Lincoln, 132 (-2)

10. Audi, 134 (+5)

11. Mercedes-Benz, 135 (-3)

12. Infiniti, 136 (+6)

13. BMW, 142 (+6)

14. Cadillac, 145 (-10)
