One-day closure coming to part of Main Street in Glen Ellyn

A portion of Main Street in downtown Glen Ellyn will close to traffic Monday because of a water service upgrade near the intersection with Crescent Boulevard.

Main Street will be blocked from Pennsylvania Avenue to Crescent.

Pedestrian traffic and local deliveries will be allowed. There is no planned water shutdown for businesses in the area.

The closure will be set up at 6 a.m. to allow the contractor to start working at 7 a.m. The street will be closed during the day and is expected to be back open before evening.
