Palatine man facing multiple drug charges
A Palatine man is facing multiple drug charges after a joint investigation between local and federal authorities.
Mauricio Bravo, 47, was ordered held on $150,000 bail Friday on charges of possession of cannabis and a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Police executed a search Thursday of Bravo's home on the 1200 block of E. Prairie Brook Drive, Cook County assistant state's attorney Lorna Amado-Chevlin said. They recovered more than 500 grams of cannabis along with cocaine, oxycodone and ecstasy, as well as drug paraphernalia including small plastic bags, scales and a safe containing $7,799 in cash, Amado-Chevlin said.
Bravo's background includes misdemeanor convictions for telephone harassment, possession of cannabis and violating an order of protection, prosecutors said.
Bravo next appears in court on Sept. 9.
