Walk On Announces New Executive Director

Walk On Appoints New Executive Director

Barrington, IL-Walk On, a nonprofit providing equine assisted activities to people with physical, cognitive, social and emotional disabilities, (http://walkonfarm.com) has announced that Mary Rachel Taylor will be joining the team as the new Executive Director. She will be involved in coordinating volunteers, public relations, marketing, fundraising development, and writing grants. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Ms. Taylor joins us from North Carolina, where she previously served as the Director of the Foscoe Food Bank, a program that she built from the ground up after seeing a need in her community. Previously she has worked with Appalachian State University and Samaritan's Purse. Ms. Taylor got her undergraduate degrees from Sweet Briar College and her MA from Appalachian State University. She comments "I am so excited to get to work with Walk On. The work they are doing in the community is outstanding and I look forward to helping Walk On reach its goals for the future."

Walk On is dedicated to providing equine assisted activities to children, adults, and seniors with physical, cognitive, social, and emotional disabilities. Equine assisted activities provide motivational, educational, and recreational benefits that enhance quality of life through interaction with the horse.
