Grains higher, livestock mixed
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher on Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for May was up 10.50 cents at $6.86 a bushel; May gained 25.75 cents at $6.4250 a bushel; May oats rose 11.75 cents at $4.00 a bushel; while May soybeans advanced 51.25 cents at $15.3150 a bushel.
Beef was lower and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Apr. live cattle was off .67 cent at $1.1915 a pound; Apr. feeder cattle fell 2.68 cents at $1.3407 a pound; April lean hogs was up .55 cent at 1.0802 a pound.
