Kane County Fair kicks off with soft opening Wednesday
The 151st annual Kane County Fair kicked off Wednesday with a soft opening, complete with carnival rides, games and free admission for the day.
Festivities will ramp up Thursday with 4-H Club exhibits, food vendors, live music and a monster truck show at the grandstand. Family-friendly activities and live entertainment, including bull riding and a demolition derby, will continue through Sunday.
The fairgrounds at 525 Randall Road, St. Charles, are open from 3 to 11 p.m. Thursday; noon to midnight Friday and Saturday; and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday. General admission is $5 Thursday and $10 the rest of the weekend.
