Authorities: Men's bodies found in northern Indiana quarry
LEESBURG, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say the bodies of two men have been recovered after they apparently fell through ice on a northern Indiana rock quarry.
Indiana conservation officers say they recovered the body of 41-year-old Allen Stattler of Dowagiac, Michigan, on Monday in the same area where they recovered the body of 29-year-old Dustin Reaker of Bremen the previous evening from Leesburg Quarry in Kosciusko (kaws-ee-AWS'-koh) County.
Officers say an investigation found that the two men possibly went ice fishing Friday night and never returned. The agency says witnesses found ice fishing equipment on the ice next to a large hole and reported it Sunday afternoon to law enforcement. Officers say evidence was found that someone had fallen through the ice.
