Environmental town-hall event in Highland Park

An environmental town-hall event will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the Highland Park Library, 494 Laurel Ave.

State Sen. Julie Morrison, Lake County Board Member Paul Frank, and Highland Park Councilman Kim Stone will host environmental experts on issues related to clean energy and solar power, urban flooding, recycling and composting.

Groups expected to attend include: Illinois Environmental Council, Union of Concerned Scientists, Center for Neighborhood Technology, Mom's Clean Air Force and Illinois Solar Energy Association. Visit https://docs.google.com to reserve a spot.
